Skylights & Productivity, Moods, & Depression (SAD)

Studies show that natural light can increase human productivity.  In many industries particularly in companies with engineers, R&D, and production facilities, have noticed productivity increased when humans are in "sync" with natural light.  Also, studies how people are more content with work in natural light.

A good deal of information has been published regarding human health and natural light.  Lighting can have a significant effect on your internal clock.  Particularly if your mood is effected for example, you feel more blah, lazy or blue on a rainy day then a skylight might be able to help you.  Some people have SAD, Seasonal Affective disorder, also known as SAD.  Some mood changes include depression, fatigue, and gloom.  This might effect anyone who has not been outside in natural light for sometime.

It has also been observed that the human eye is least strained when in natural light.  Too much light can also strain the eye.

These are some reasons to consider installing a skylight.  Call us more at DFW Best Roofing to learn more about skylight options at 817 381 6855.
