Nailgun or Handnail Your Roof?

We offer hand nailed roofs as an upgrade call us at 8173816855... Nailguns are a great tool if they are used properly. The problem is they are often times used in a wreckless and incompetent manner. The most common issue with nailgun installation is improper fastening techniques. The nails are either overdriven, underdriven, driven in at an angle and or are just placed in the wrong place. Climate conditions also play a major role in the use of nailguns. Too cold and the nailguns shatters the shingle, which may result in nails blowing through to the wood. Too hot and the nails go all the way through the shingle and aren’t attached to the shingle at all. Nailguns also are unable to adjust their own pressure to compensate for these factors. Inexperience, incompetence and negligence are probably the biggest cause for concern when it comes to the use of nailguns. Before the nailgun came on the scene, roofs were installed by hand, meaning all nails were driven with a hammer or hachet. It normally took six months to a year for a laborer to become a competent shingle installer that could install enough shingles to be profitable. Now all you have to do is be able to do is pull the trigger of a nailgun. Employers demands also play a major factor in this issue as well as home owners demand for the best price, thereby putting pressure on the installers to get as much done in as little time as possible. Some contractors and installers just don’t care about the integrity of their work.
